Mangaluru, July 17, 2026: The Commission for Liturgy, Mangala Jyothi, Diocese of Mangalore, organised a Recollection and Follow-up Programme for 67 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at Milagres Church on July 17.
The programme, coordinated by Rev. Fr. Rohith D'Costa, focused on the theology of the Eucharist, the spirituality and responsibilities of Extraordinary Ministers, and the proper reverence and procedures for the distribution of Holy Communion. Participants also received practical guidance to carry out their ministry with greater devotion and dignity.
The programme included the celebration of the Holy Eucharist followed by Eucharistic Adoration, offering the participants an opportunity for prayer and spiritual renewal. The recollection concluded with a renewed commitment among the ministers to serve the Church faithfully through their Eucharistic ministry.
