MANGALORE, JULY 24 — The CCBI YOUCAT India Team successfully conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) and Study Session for the fourth-year Theology brothers at St. Joseph Seminary in Mangalore.
Organized under the leadership of Fr. Rohit D'Costa, Secretary of the Faith Formation Commission for the Diocese of Mangalore, the event brought together brothers from various parts of India who are currently pursuing their theological studies at the seminary.
The training was facilitated by YOUCAT Leadership team members Jia Menezes and Erica Menezes. The core objective of the session was to equip the future clergy with effective tools for youth ministry. The resource persons led a comprehensive introduction to YOUCAT, placing a strong emphasis on the *dialogical method of youth catechesis*—an approach designed to foster open, two-way conversations about faith with young people.
To ensure practical application, the program transitioned into an interactive Study Session workshop. Participants engaged in various hands-on activities tailored to help them implement YOUCAT study groups effectively in their future parishes and ministries.
Feedback from the Theology brothers was highly positive. Many noted that the interactive nature of the workshop and the practical methodologies shared by the resource persons provided them with a fresh, dynamic perspective on modern faith formation.
