The event, held at Pastoral Institute of the Diocese of Mangalore, drew an enthusiastic participation of 98 catechists representing 35 different parishes. The day commenced at 9:00 am with the arrival and registration of the participants. Rev. Fr Rohith D'Costa, Director of DBCLC, led the opening prayer and extended a warm welcome to the gathering, setting a spiritual tone for the day's proceedings. The technical sessions were conducted by the resource person, Rev. Fr Boniface Pinto from Divya Dhama, Udupi. Following a brief intermission, the second session focused on "How to Prepare a Catechism Class and Methodology," equipping the new teachers with essential pedagogical tools. The theoretical learning was immediately put into practice during a mid-day workshop dedicated to preparing actual catechism classes.
