Subject: Important Update Regarding the Distribution of the New Konkani
Missal
Dear Bishops, Fathers, and Sisters,
Greetings from the Commission for Liturgy in Konkani.
We are writing to provide you with an update regarding the newly published Konkani
Missal. Initially, we had planned to dispatch the missals to your respective parishes and
communities by June 1, 2026.
Please be assured that the missals are currently at the press, and the production
process is underway.
However, the press department has recently informed us that printing and
distribution will face an unavoidable delay. This is due to a sudden shortage of
essential printing materials, directly caused by the current wartime situation and
related global supply chain hindrances.
Consequently, the distribution of the missals has been rescheduled and will now
take place in July 2026. We are closely monitoring the situation with the press
and will promptly update you on any further progress.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. We deeply
appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued cooperation during this time.
